God's Love For Us

John 3:16
"For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that who ever believes in him should not perish, but have everlasting life."(NIV)

Romans 5:8
"But God commendeth his love toward us, in that, while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us."

Commentary: I want you to think about your most treasured earthly possession; Got It? Now I want you to give it away. Not willing to part with it? You love it too much? Well, this was the very position that God was in and He stood in the gap for us. He gave us his most precious and treasured possession; His Only Son! What makes his gift even more amazing is that in our most lowly and sinful condition, God gave Jesus Christ to die for us! Jesus Christ was wounded for our transgressions and bruised for our iniquities. He died a most horrible, painful, humiliating and unjustified death; Crucifixion. He bore the sins of the entire world on his shoulders, so that we may have a right to the tree of life and direct access (through him) to God. Now that is Love. So if you ever question or doubt the love that God has for you, remember what God gave up for you.

Are you hurting on the inside.  Are you struggling to keep the masquerade going on the outside, when you are going to pieces on the inside?
